BA IN HONORS PSYCHOLOGY

Admission Requirements

Students who wish to enter the Honors B.A. program should complete the first-year requirements for the Area of Concentration (see above) and then apply to the Honors program.

Second Year

Principal Courses

Psychology 280E (Research Methods in Psychology)
Psychology 281 (Statistics for Psychology)
Three 200-level half-courses in Psychology including at least one from the 200-239 series and one from the 240-279 series

Subsidiary Courses*

One and one-half non-Psychology full-course equivalents

Third Year

Principal Courses

Psychology 380F/G and one half-course in Research from: Psychology 302F/G or the former Psychology 306F/G; 317F/G; 322F/G; 336F/G or 387F/G; 356F/G; 361F/G; 370F/G; ; 382F/G
Two additional 300-level half courses or equivalents in Psychology excluding the courses listed above. These additional courses must include at least one from Psychology 386a/b, the former Psychology 390a/b, or the 300-339 series, and one from the 340-379 series.
One additional 200-level half course in Psychology.

Note: All 300-level courses have 200-level prerequisites.

Subsidiary Courses*

Two and one-half non-Psychology full-course equivalents.

Fourth Year

Principal Courses

Psychology 485E (Honors Thesis)
Psychology 385F/G (History and Systems) (may be taken in Third or Fourth year).
Three additional 300- or 400-level half-courses in Psychology of which one half-course must be at the 400-level.
