Admission Requirements

The minimum requirements are: at least 60% in each of Computer Science 025a/b or 026a/b, and 027a/b; at least 60% in one full course or equivalent, chosen from the following: Mathematics 030, Applied Mathematics 026, Calculus 050a/b, 051a/b, 081a/b, Linear Algebra 040a/b; one other course.

Second Year

Computer Science 208a/b, 209a/b, 210a/b, 211a/b, 212a/b/y
Mathematics 222a, 223b
One and one-half course options

Note: The former Computer Science 201 and an additional half-course option may be substituted for Computer Science 210a/b, 211a/b, 212a/b/y.

Progression into Third Year

To proceed to the third year of this program, an average of at least 60% in the mandatory second year Computer Science courses and Mathematics 222a, 223b is required

Third Year

Computer Science 305a/b
Six other 300-level Computer Science half-courses
One senior half-course offered by one of the Departments of Applied Mathematics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or Statistical Sciences (excluding Statistical Sciences 137a and the former Statistical Sciences 138b)
One option

The Area of Concentration will consist of the 7.0 senior-level Computer Science and Mathematics courses which are specified in second and third year. (6.5 courses for those who have completed the former Computer Science 201). The senior half course offered by one of the Departments of Applied Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or Statistical Sciences, required in third year, is not part of the Area of Concentration.
