ONTARIO KINESIOLOGY ASSOCIATION (O.K.A.)

(Certified Kinesiologist)

The Ontario Kinesiology Association has recognized courses from the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science programs in Kinesiology toward completion of the Certified Kinesiologist status.

All students seeking certification, must complete a 'core' of courses plus sixteen additional areas for O.K.A. assessment. The 'core' must include: Kinesiology 241a/b, 230a/b, 280a/b, Anatomy 221 (or Kinesiology 222a/b). Commencing January 2004 O.K.A. will require 600 hours of volunteer work in suuport of certification.
