Course Description

Chemistry 234b Physical Chemistry Applied to Biological Problems

Electrolyte solutions, electrochemistry, acid-base behavior of biological molecules, chemical kinetics, hydrogen bonding and hydrophobic bonds.
Antirequisite: Chemistry 254.
Prerequisite: Chemistry 020 or 023.
2 lecture hours, 1.5 laboratory hours (3 hours every other week), half course.
