An overview of Chemistry. The roles of chemists, chemicals, and chemistry in modern society. Topics include the concept of atoms and molecules; chemicals in the environment; the synthesis and analysis of chemicals; contemporary research. This course is primarily intended for students registered in Faculties other than Science. |
| Antirequisites: Chemistry 020, 023, 024a/b. |
| 3 lecture/tutorial hours. |
| This course cannot be used as a prerequisite for any senior Chemistry course. |
