English 222E American Literature, 1890 to the Present (Survey)

Works by significant 20c American authors will be read in relation to the ways that their ideas and techniques express evolving conceptions of American identity.

Antirequisite: English 264E and 223F/G

Prerequisite: At least 60% in a 020-level English course, and at least 60% in all subsequent English courses, or permission of the department.
