Selected topics, such as the U.S. occupation of Japan, Japan's external relations with the U.S.A., U.S.S.R. and China, the rise of Communist China, Taiwan under Chiang Kai-shek, the Great Cultural Revolution, China after Mao, the division of Korea and the question of Hong Kong, are examined. |
| Prerequisite: History 028E or one senior history course. |
