| Anthropology 237a/b Field Techniques in Linguistics |

The phonological and lexical-grammatical systems of a designated language are studied. Selected aspects of the language are analyzed in terms of current problems in linguistic theory. |
| Prerequisite: Anthropology 027a/b or Linguistics 288a/b or the former Anthropology 021 or the former French 288a/b and permission of the Instructor. |
| 3 hours, half course. |
| Note: Permission must be obtained by application to the Instructor by April of the academic year prior to when the course is scheduled to be offered. |
