| History 232E Canada: From the Beginning of the French Regime to Confederation |

A survey of Canadian history to 1867. This course provides students having no special training in Canadian history with a broad knowledge of the regional particularities which have marked Canadian history from its beginnings. It deals with the main economic, social and political features of pre-Conquest Canada, the Maritime colonies, and of Lower and Upper Canada. |
| Prerequisite: History 025E or permission of the instructor. |
