| VAH 385E Introduction to Museum Studies. |

This course introduces and develops a critical understanding of the history of art institutions and of museum principles and practices, past and present. Practical curatorial experience is included. |
| Antirequisites: VAS 385E; the former Visual Arts 392F/G and 393F/G if taken in 1998-99 and 1999-2000. |
| Prerequisite: VAH 040, or the former Visual Arts 040, and at least one 200-level VAH course, or permission of Department. |
| 3 lecture hours. |
