This module, appropriate for (but not exclusive to) those wishing to go on to a Faculty of Education, combines coursework from the Division of Food and Nutritional Sciences and the Division of Sociology and Family Studies. This program includes attaining the designation of Professional Home Economist (P.H.Ec.) post-graduation.

Admission Requirements
Completion of first-year requirements with no failures. Students must have an average of at least 70% with no mark below 60% in the following principal courses: Foods and Nutrition 1021 or 1030E, 1.0 from Family Studies 1000-level courses, and 1.0 from Sociology 1000-level courses or Psychology 1000.

1.0 course from: any of the Family Studies 2000-level courses.
0.5 course from: Writing 1020F/G, 2101F/G, to be taken no later than the 3rd year, and preferably during the 1st or 2nd year.
2.0 courses: Foods and Nutrition 2132A/B, 2245A/B, 3361A/B, Human Ecology 2222F/G, 2266F/G.
1.0 course from: Psychology 2850A/B and Psychology 2855F/G, Sociology 2205A/B and Sociology 2206A/B.
1.0 course: Family Studies 4220A/B, 4230A/B.
1.5 courses from: Psychology 2410A/B, Human Ecology 3343A/B, Human Ecology 3338A/B, the former 1033A/B, Psychology 2041, 2054A/B, 2075.
1.0 course from: Foods and Nutrition 3320A/B, 3348A/B, any Family Studies 2000-, 3000- or 4000-level course excluding those taken in other categories, Sociology 4496E.

An additional 1.0 course taken from either of the last two groups listed above.
