MINOR IN LATIN AMERICAN STUDIES

Admission Requirements
Completion of first-year requirements.

Module
4.0 courses:

Completion of four full designated courses in at least three different departments:

Anthropology 2216F/G, 2232F/G, 2234F/G; Geography 2020A/B; History 2501E3505F/G, 3507F/G, 4502F/G, 4503F/G, the former 3501E, 3503F/G; Political Science 3322F/G, 3323F/G; Sociology 3353F/G, 3354F/G, 4485F/G, the former 2101F/G; Spanish 2203F/G, 2219F/G, 3343F/G, 3344F/G, 3346F/G, 3348F/G, 4403F/G, 4405F/G.

A maximum of 1.0 of these 4.0 courses may be counted toward another module, with the permission of the respective Department and the Latin American Studies Program Coordinator.

Note: Some of these courses have prerequisites; students should take this into account when selecting first-year courses. Some courses are offered only in alternate years. There may also be special topics courses offered on Latin America in some years. Students are advised to consult the Latin American Studies Program Coordinator when planning their programs.
