MAJOR IN GERMAN LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE

Admission Requirements
Completion of first-year requirements, including 1.0 course from German 1030, 1030W/X (or the former German 002, 002w/x) with a mark of at least 60%. Those with Grade 12U German will receive special permission to go straight into German 2200 or 2200W/X.

Module
6.0 courses:

1.0 course (prerequisite for the rest of the module): German 2200 or 2200W/X.
2.0 courses (usually taken in second year): German 2204F/G, 2205F/G, 2250E.
3.0 German language and literature courses at the 2200 level or above.

Notes:  With permission of the Department, German 2100F/G and German 2101F/G with a minimum mark of 80% can be counted toward the Major in German Language and Literature.  Students planning to take third year of the module abroad who are taking German as one of two Majors will need the permission of both departments.
