SPECIALIZATION IN PLANETARY SCIENCE


Admission Requirements

Completion of the first-year requirements, including the following courses, each with a minimum mark of 60%:

Physics 020 or 024 or 026
Calculus 050a/b plus 051a/b or 081a/b or Applied Mathematics 026
0.5 to 1.0 course from: Earth Sciences 022a/b, 023a/b, 081a/b, 083F/G, or the former Earth Sciences 020. Earth Sciences 281b may be substituted if Earth Sciences 022a/b, 023a/b, 081a/b, or the former Earth Sciences 020 is not taken in first year.


Module

10.0 courses:

0.5 course: Astronomy 201a/b or the former Astronomy 221a/b
0.5 course: Physics 203a/b
1.0 course: Earth Science 200a/b; Earth Science 123a/b (if 023a/b has been taken), or 0.5 200-level Earth Science course with approval of the Department (if 023a/b has been taken)
1.5 courses: Planetary Science 380a/b, 490E
6.5 courses from: Astronomy 202a/b or the former 222a/b, 301a/b, Physics 201a/b, 202a/b, 208, 259E, 326F/G, 343a/b, 350a/b, 351a/b, 365a/b, Earth Sciences 206a/b (or the former 205a), 212a/b, 230a/b, 231a/b, 240a/b, 260a/b, 321a/b, 322a/b, 369a/b, 421a/b, 424a/b.
