MAJOR IN MATHEMATICS


Admission Requirements

Completion of first-year requirements. Students must have an average of at least 70% in 3.0 principal courses, including Calculus 050a/b, Calculus 051a/b (or 081a/b with a mark of at least 85%), plus 2.0 additional courses, with no mark in these principal courses below 60%. Linear Algebra 040a/b and Mathematics 060a/b, if taken in first year, will count toward the 3.0 principal courses.

Note: Linear Algebra 040a/b with a minimum mark of 60% or Mathematics 060a/b with a minimum mark of 70% must be completed prior to Mathematics 200a/b.


Module

6.0 courses:

1.0 course: Calculus 250a/b, 251a/b
2.0 courses: Mathematics 200a/b or the former 203b, 207a/b, 208a/b, 217a/b
0.5 course from: Mathematics 201a/b or 222a
2.5 additional courses from: Mathematics 223b and Mathematics courses at the 300 level or above
