MAJOR IN FINANCE

Admission Requirements

Completion of first-year requirements, including the following 3.0 courses with an average of 60% and no mark less than 60%: Business Administration 020; Economics 020; Mathematics 030, or Calculus 050a/b and 0.5 course from Calculus 051a/b, 081a/b or Linear Algebra 040a/b.


Module

6.0 courses

Note: Students pursuing the BMOS Honors degree with Major in Accounting or Major in Management and Organizational Studies together with Major in Finance may count only 1.0 course towards both Major modules. Therefore, in addition to completing the requirements of each Major module, students must select 1.0 additional course, not taken previously, from the following list, to bring the total number of different courses in both modules to 12.0: Economics 328a/b, 329a/b, 346a/b, 352a/b, 357a/b, 370a/b, 371a/b, Management and Organizational Studies 312a/b, 360a/b, 361a/b, 362a/b, 372, 460a/b, 461a/b.

Students pursuing the Honors BA with Major in Finance and Major in Economics may count only 1.0 course towards both Major modules. Therefore, in addition to completing the requirements of each Major, students must select 2.0 additional courses, not previously taken, from the following list, to bring the total number of different courses in both modules to 11.0: Economics 328a/b, 329a/b, 346a/b, 352a/b, 357a/b, 370a/b, Management and Organizational Studies 312a/b, 360a/b, 361a/b, 372, 460a/b, 461a/b.
