INTEGRATED ENGINEERING PROGRAM

This program is managed by an appointed coordinator and is delivered jointly by the Departments of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Mechanical and Materials Engineering.

The objective of the Integrated Engineering program is to produce graduates trained to function effectively in the contemporary multidisciplinary work environment. The curriculum contains courses in chemical, civil, electrical and mechanical engineering, with emphasis on subjects which are important in a wide range of industries, as well as courses in mathematics, the sciences and complementary studies, equivalent to those in the other engineering programs.

ECE 339a/b, CEE 220a/b, CBE 290a/b, CBE 322a/b, ES 300y, ECE 374a/b, MME 213a/b, Statistical Sciences 243a/b, MME 399, 0.5 non-technical elective. Selection of the non-technical elective must be approved by the Department Counsellor to satisfy the CEAB requirements of subject matter that deals with central issues, methodologies, and thought processes of the humanities and social sciences. An approved list can be found on the Engineering website.


Fourth Year Program

Business Administration 299, MME 499*, CBE 410a/b, MME 487a/b, ES 498F/G, five 0.5 technical electives**.


*MME 499 may be replaced with one of the following: ECE 416 Electrical Engineering Project; MME 419 Mechanical Engineering Project

** Technical Electives: Integrated Engineering

Some technical electives may not be offered in a given academic year.
