HONORS SPECIALIZATION IN MEDICAL PHYSICS


Admission Requirements

Completion of first-year requirements with no failures. Students must have an average of at least 70% in 3.0 principal courses: Physics 020 or 024 or 026;
Calculus 050a/b and 051a/b (preferred) or Calculus 050a/b and 081a/b; with no mark in these principal courses below 60%.

Students must complete Linear Algebra 040a/b by the end of term one in year 2.


Module

9.0 courses:

1.0 course: Calculus 250a/b (preferred) or Calculus 280a/b, 251a/b (preferred) or Calculus 281a/b
5.5 courses: Physics 201a/b, 202a/b, 210a/b, 259E, 326F/G, 343a/b, 351a/b, 365a/b, 491E
0.5 course from: Physics 462a/b or 472a/b
2.0 courses from: Chemistry 213a/b, 223b; Medical Biophysics 402a/b, 467a/b; any 300 or 400 level Physics or Astronomy course; any Applied Mathematics course at the 200 level or above

Note: The above courses may have prerequisites that are not included in the module.

Students must also complete Physics 279y, 379y, 479y (non-credit seminar courses).
