HONORS SPECIALIZATION IN ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE


Admission Requirements

Completion of first-year requirements with no failures. Students must have an average of at least 70% in 3.5 principal courses, with no mark in these principal courses below 60%, including:


Module

9.0 courses:

0.5 course: Chemistry 210a/b, or the former Chemistry 226a/b
0.5 course from: Biology 244a/b, Statistical Sciences 135, 137a/b, 222a/b, 241a/b, Psychology 281 (Module will be 9.5 courses if Statistical Sciences 135 or Psychology 281 is taken.)
0.5 course from: Biology 204a, 217b, 283a, 284a, 285b
0.5 course from: Earth Sciences 200a/b, 220a/b, 221a/b, 230a/b, 240F/G, 261a/b, 265a/b
0.5 course from: Geography 116a/b, 123a/b, 124a/b, 128a/b, 146E, 152a/b, 153a/b, 154F/G, 157a/b, 166a/b, 181F/G, 182a/b, 187a/b, 188a/b (Module will be 9.5 courses if Geography 146E is taken)
1.5 courses: Environmental Science 300F/G, 350F/G, 450F/G
0.5 course from: Environmental Science 494F/G, Biology 420F/G, 430a/b, 443G
2.5 additional courses from the "Environmental Science Course List" below, including at least 0.5 course from each of the 3 subject areas.
2.0 additional courses at the 300 level or above from the "Environmental Science Course List" below.

Note: Students should plan the modules taking into account prerequisites of senior courses.
