HONORS SPECIALIZATION IN CLINICAL BIOCHEMISTRY

May be completed only within BSc (Hons) degrees.

Enrolment in this module is limited. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee that students wishing to enter or progress in this module will be offered enrolment.


Admission Requirements

Completion of first-year requirements with no failures. Students must have an average of at least 70% on the following 3.0 courses with no mark in these principal courses below 65%.


1.0 course from: Physics 020, 024, 028a/b and 029a/b, or the former Physics 022 or 025, must be completed by the end of second year, with a minimum mark of 65%.

0.5 course: Biology 281b
1.0 course from: Chemistry 213a/b plus 223b, or Chemistry 273a plus 283G, or the former Chemistry 253
1.0 course from: Biology 282b, 290F/G, Chemistry 214a/b, 211a/b (or the former Chemistry 224a plus 234b), or Chemistry 274a plus 284b (or the former Chemistry 254)
0.5 course from: Biology 244a/b or Statistical Sciences 222a/b
0.5 course: Pathology 240a
2.5 courses: Biochemistry 381a, 382b, 385a, 386b, 387G
1.5 course: Biochemistry 485E (Research Project = 1.5 courses)
2.0 courses: Biochemistry 410a, 420b, 450a, 463G
