Admission Requirements

A complete first year program with:


Principal Courses

The former Astronomy 020
Calculus 050a/b plus 051a/b, or Applied Mathematics 026.
Physics 020 or 024, or the former 025

Students entering or continuing in the Honors Astronomy program are required to consult with the Department for approval of their programs.


Subsidiary Courses

One course from the faculties of Arts and Humanities or Social Science. For the remaining course, Computer Science 025a/b or 026a/b, and 027a/b, or Chemistry 020, or the former Earth Sciences 020* or equivalent is suggested. (*Please consult the Earth Sciences department for appropriate equivalents).
