SPECIALIZATION IN CLASSICAL STUDIES


This program is not sufficient for admittance to graduate programs in Classics/Classical Studies. Students who are considering graduate work in Classics should take the Honors Specialization in Classical Studies with some additional language courses in Greek and Latin.

Admission Requirements

Completion of first-year requirements, including Classical Studies 047 with a mark of at least 60%.


Module

9.0 courses:

5.0 courses in Classical Studies, Greek or Latin at the 100 level or above
4.0 courses in Classical Studies, Greek or Latin at the 200 level or above.

A maximum of 2.0 courses may be substituted from: History of Science 151F/G, 420F/G; Philosophy 210F/G, 372F/G, 373F/G, 478F/G, 479F/G; ; Visual Arts History 247E, 249E, 349F/G, 445F/G
