SPECIALIZATION IN ASTROPHYSICS


Admission Requirements

Completion of first-year requirements, including the following 3.0 courses, each with a minimum mark of 60%:

Physics 020 or 024 or 026;
Calculus 050a/b plus 051a/b or 081a/b, or Applied Mathematics 026;
1.0 additional course.

Students must complete Linear Algebra 040a/b with a minimum mark of 55% by the end of term one in Year 2.


Module

9.0 courses:

1.0 course: Calculus 250a/b or 280a/b, 251a/b or 281a/b
4.0 courses: Physics 201a/b, 202a/b, 259E, 343a/b, 350a/b, 351a/b, 365a/b
1.0 course: Applied Mathematics 261b, Differential Equations 215a
2.5 courses: Astronomy 201a/b or the former 221a/b, 202a/b or the former 222a/b, 301a/b, 401a/b, 402a/b
0.5 course from: Physics 326F/G, 369F/G/Z

Students must also complete Physics 279y, 379y, 479y (non-credit seminar courses)
