MAJOR IN APPLIED MATHEMATICS


Admission Requirements

Completion of first-year requirements, including Calculus 050a/b; Calculus 051a/b with a mark of at least 60% (or Calculus 081a/b with a mark of at least 85%). Applied Mathematics 026 (with a mark of at least 60%) may be used to replace the 1.0 Calculus course requirement.

Linear Algebra 040a/b or Applied Mathematics 025a/b with a mark of at least 60%, normally taken in year I. If not taken in year I, it must be taken in first term of year II.

1.0 course: Calculus 250a/b, 251a/b
0.5 course: Differential Equations 215a
0.5 course from: Mathematics 200a/b, 207a/b, 302a, or the former Mathematics 203b
0.5 course: Statistical Sciences 257a
0.5 course from: Applied Mathematics 415a/b**, 425a/b
0.5 course from: Applied Mathematics 466a/b**, 476a/b
