Completion of first-year requirements with no failures. Students must have an average of at least 70% in 3.0 principal courses, including Biology 022 or 023, Chemistry 020 or 023, plus 1.0 additional course, with no mark in these principal courses below 60%.

Physics 028a/b, or 020, or 024, or the former Physics 022 or 025
1.0 course from: Calculus 050a/b, 051a/b, 081a/b, 091a/b, Mathematics 028a/b, 030, Linear Algebra 040a/b, Statistical Sciences 024a/b. If not completed in first year, the Mathematics requirement must be completed by the end of second year.

10.0 courses:

3.5 courses: Biology 280a, 281b, 282b, 283a, 286a, 290F/G, Chemistry 213a/b
0.5 course from: Biology 260a, 272b
0.5 course: Biology 244a/b, Statistical Sciences 222a/b. Students may substitute Statistical Sciences 135 or Psychology 281 for this 0.5 course.
2.0 course from: Biology 284a, 340a/b, 345F, 366b
0.5 course from: Biology 204a, 240F/G, 271a, 304F/G, 318G, 332a, 375a/b, Geography 213a/b
1.0 course from: Biology 335b, 342F/G, 346b, 375a/b, 405b, 420F/G
0.5 course from: Biology 336F/G, 436F/G, 441F

It is recommended that students complete the honors thesis, Biology 450F/G and 451F/G and at least 0.5 field course (Biology 320Z, 457Z, or 458Z)

Notes:

At least 1.0 course from the above must be taken at the 400-level
A minimum of 1.5 Biology courses with labs, not including Biology 244a and 290F/G, must be included in the course selections.
If students take Statistical Sciences 135 or Psychology 281 instead of Biology 224a/b or Statistical Sciences 222a/b, the module becomes 10.5 courses.
