HONORS SPECIALIZATION IN ANIMAL PHYSIOLOGY


Admission Requirements

Completion of first-year requirements with no failures. Students must have an average of at least 70% in 3.0 principal courses, including Biology 022 or 023, Chemistry 020 or 023, plus 1.0 additional course, with no mark in these principal courses below 60%.

Physics 028a/b (or Physics 020, 024, or the former Physics 022 or 025)
1.0 course from: Calculus 050a/b, 051a/b, 081a/b, 091b, Linear Algebra 040a/b, Mathematics 028a/b, 030, Statistical Sciences 024a/b. If not completed in the first year, the Mathematics requirement must be completed by the end of the second year.


Module

10.0 courses:

2.0 courses: Biochemistry 280a, Biology 240b, 271a, Chemistry 213a/b
0.5 course from: Biology 244a, Statistical Sciences 222a/b (students may substitute Statistical Sciences 135 or Psychology 281 for this 0.5 course and this would make the module 10.5 courses)
5.0 courses: Biology 272b, 281b, 282b, 283a, 286a, 290F/G, 325F/G, 351a, 410F/G, 411F/G
1.0 course from: Biology 320Z/457Z, 443G, 450F/G, 451F/G, 459F
1.5 courses from: Biochemistry 381a, 382b, Biology 260a, 316a, 360a/b and courses listed above if not already taken, Chemistry 211a/b, 214a/b, 223b, 393a/b, Medical Biophysics 330F, 331G, Pharmacology and Toxicology 355b OR 356a, Physiology 312, 314a

Note: At least 2.0 courses must be taken at the 400 level.
