THREE-YEAR BSc MATHEMATICS AND COMPUTER SCIENCE


Admission Requirements

A complete first year program that includes Calculus 050a/b plus one of Calculus 051a/b or 081a/b, or Applied Mathematics 026; plus Computer Science 025a/b or 026a/b, and 027a/b, in each case with a minimum mark of 60%.

Linear Algebra 040a/b is strongly recommended.


Second and Third Years

Linear Algebra 040a/b or the former Mathematics 202a; Mathematics 222a, 223b; 208a; one of Mathematics 200a/b or 283b or the former 203b; Calculus 250a/b or 280a/b, or the former Mathematics 204a; one of Calculus 251a/b or 281a/b, plus one other Mathematics half-course numbered 200 or above if the former Mathematics 202a was taken, or one Mathematics full course or equivalent numbered 200 or above, if Linear Algebra 040a/b was taken (students with appropriate prerequisites may replace this additional half-course with Applied Mathematics 261b); Computer Science 208a/b, 209a/b, 210a/b, 211a/b, 212a/b/y, plus two full-courses or equivalent in Computer Science at the 300-level. (Computer Science 305a/b is recommended.)


Notes

The Area of Concentration will consist of the 8.5 senior-level Computer Science and Mathematics courses which are specified in second and third years. (8.0 courses for those who have completed the former Computer Science 201).

* The former Computer Science 201 and an additional subsidiary half course may be substituted for Computer Science 210a/b, 211a/b, 212a/b/y
