Admission Requirements
Principal Courses

Computer Science 025a/b or 026a/b, and 027a/b
Statistical Sciences 023a/b
One full course equivalent, chosen from the following: Calculus 050a/b and either Calculus 051a/b (minimum mark of 60%) or Calculus 081a/b (minimum mark of 85%**), or Applied Mathematics 026.
Linear Algebra 040a/b


Subsidiary Courses

    Two courses (of which at least one full course must be from Arts or Social Science)

*If Linear Algebra 040a/b is not taken in first year, it must be completed prior to the beginning of third year.
If Statistical Sciences 023a/b is not taken in first year, students should consult with an academic counselor in the Department of Statistical and Actuarial Sciences prior to entering second year.
** Students who completed Calculus 081a/b prior to September 2003 may enter this program with a minimum mark of 70% in Calculus 081a/b.


Second Year
Principal Courses

Actuarial Science 223a, and either Actuarial Science 221a/b or 225a/b
Statistical Sciences 257a
Either Statistical Sciences 259a/b plus 260b or the former 258b, or the former Statistical Sciences 255
Computer Science 210a/b
Either Computer Science 208a/b or 211a/b
Calculus 280a/b and 281a/b, or equivalent (See Department for equivalents)


Subsidiary Course

One half course*

* Linear Algebra 040a/b must be taken prior to the beginning of third year, with a minimum mark of 60%. If Statistical Sciences 023a/b is not taken in first year, students should consult with an academic counselor in the Department of Statistical and Actuarial Sciences prior to entering second year.
**Note: For students who have completed the former Computer Science 201, both it and Mathematics 223b must be substituted as principal courses for Computer Science 210a/b, 211a/b, 212a/b/y.

Four half-courses chosen from Statistical Sciences 420a/b, 421F/G and Actuarial Science at the 400-level
Four Computer Science half-courses numbered 300 or above
Two additional half-courses from Computer Science numbered 300 or above, or from Statistical and Actuarial Sciences numbered 310 or above
