Course Description

Environmental Science 021a/b Environmental Issues

Topics include controversial environmental issues of current interest including global warming, hazardous waste, ozone depletion, endangered species, air and water quality, and deforestation. Classes will involve an introduction to the topics, and interactive discussion of the pros and cons of action on the issues.

Prerequisite: An OAC average (or equivalent entering average from other systems) of at least 85%. Priority will be given to student in their first year at Western.
3 lecture/tutorial hours, half course.
