Computer Science 413a/b Cryptography and Security

Survey of the principles and practice of cryptography and network security: classical cryptography, public-key cryptography and cryptographic protocols, network and system security.

Antirequisite: Computer Science 434b if taken in Winter 2001 or 2002.
Prerequisite: Computer Science 340a/b, Mathematics 223b.
3 lecture hours, half course.
