This course will develop a student's competence in understanding and using spoken and writtenStandard Chinese. Print and electronic resources including Chinese television broadcasts and the World Wide Web will be used to develop comprehension and writing skills. |
| Antirequisite: The former ICS 144a/b, 245a/b. |
| Prerequisite: A first-year university-level language course in Standard Chinese or equivalent, or placement test. |
