Course Description

Chemistry 321a/b Transition Metals in Action

The chemistry of the transition metals in their classical and organometallic complexes, with emphasis on applications; the importance of the properties of transition metals in such areas as medicine, environmental chemistry, solid state chemistry and catalysis.

Antirequisite: Chemistry 351a.
Prerequisite: Chemistry 251.
2 lecture hours, 2 laboratory hours (4 hours, every other week), half course.
