Social Work 423a/b Working with Culturally Diverse Populations

With a formal government commitment to Multiculturalism, Canada's institutions and services are being challenged to respond to the reality of the cultural and linguistic diversity of the population. This course explores the roots and characteristics of this cultural diversity, and examine issues and skills relevant to the provision of human services.

Antirequisite: Social Work 465a/b offered in 2001-02, or Social Work 280E.
Prerequisites: Third-year social work courses.
3 lecture hours, half course.
