Course Description

VAS 210 Drawing/Painting

An introduction to the two-dimensional practices of drawing and painting that will consider both their histories and inter-relationships. Historical and theoretical ideas pertaining to both media will be addressed and their contemporary applications. Projects will include work with traditional media and contemporary technology.

Antirequisite: The former Visual Arts 222a/b, 230, 232.
Prerequisite: VAS 020 or the former Visual Arts 020. Priority will be given to students registered in a Visual Arts program.
6 studio hours.
