Course Description

Biology 370b Animal Reproduction

Major aspects of reproduction, from the production of gametes to hatching or birth and the care of the young, are considered from the standpoint of their evolutionary and ecological significance. Emphasis is placed on environmental and physiological controls of reproduction and on applications of reproductive biology to wildlife preservation and management.

Pre- or corequisite: Biology 271a or Physiology 310 or the former Biology 310.
2 lecture hours, 3 laboratory hours, half course.
