Course Description

Physiology 314a Cellular Physiology

A survey of principles of cellular physiology including membrane, ion channel, receptor, and transport protein function, and signal transduction mechanisms.

Antirequisite: The former Biology 314a.
Prerequisites: Physics 020, 022, 024, or 025; one full course or equivalent, chosen from the following: Mathematics 030, or Calculus 050a/b, plus one of the following: Calculus 051a/b, 081a/b, Linear Algebra 040a/b, Mathematics 028a/b; Biology 022 or 023; or permission of the Department. It is strongly recommended that Biochemistry 280a (formerly Biology 280a) and Biology 282b be taken in second year. Open only to students who have completed two years of a program.
