Physics 350a Classical Mechanics I

Non-inertial frames of reference; free and forced vibrations, applications to molecular systems; general rigid body motion: special relativity; Lagrange's equations and applications; Hamiltonian mechanics.

Antirequisite: Applied Mathematics 353a.
Prerequisite: Physics 200
3 lecture hours, half course.
