Course Description

MME 486a/b Industrial Control Systems

This course examines modern industrial control systems and applications. Topics include: sensors and actuators; computer interfacing; ladder logic and programmable logic control; industrial computers; programming methods; industrial networks; human-machine interfaces; supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA); manufacturing execution systems; enterprise-wide integration; and digital feedback control.

Prerequisites: CS 026a/b.
3 lecture hours, 1.5 laboratory hours, half course.
