Mathematics 305a/b Differential Equations

Rigorous introduction to ordinary differential equations. Existence, uniqueness, and continuation of solutions. Linear systems with constant coefficients. Flows and dynamical systems. Series solutions.

Antirequisite: The former Applied Mathematics 300.
Prerequisites: Calculus 251a/b or the former Mathematics 205b; Mathematics 217a/b or 306a/b; Mathematics 304a/b; Applied Mathematics 213b or Mathematics 203b.
