History 240E History of Modern Italy

Revolution, counter-revolution, and democracy, 1789-1946. Nationalism, liberalism, socialism, and fascism in Italy from the origins of the movement of unification to the collapse of the Fascist regime. The great personalities of the period, i.e., Mazzini, Garibaldi, Cavour, and Mussolini.
