Course Description

English 282F/G Contemporary Theory and Criticism

This course builds on the historical foundations of English 201F/G History of Theory and Criticism to concentrate on important issues in contemporary literary theory and criticism. English 201F/G is recommended as preparation for English 282F/G. For students planning to take English 300E, English 201F/G and 282F/G are strongly recommended.

Antirequisite: English 216F/G, 316F/G, 491E or the former English 200
Prerequisites: At least 60% in English 020E, 022E, 024E, and at least 60% in all subsequent English courses, or permission of the Department.
