Course Description

ECE 233a/b Electric Circuits II

Three phase circuits, magnetic coupling and circuits, transformers, the S plane and complex frequency response of circuits, frequency selective circuits, state variable, introduction to Fourier analysis, Fourier transform and Laplace transform techniques. Transfer function and system functions.

Antirequisite: The former ES 233a/b
Prerequisite: ECE 205a/b, 231a/b.
Corequisite: Applied Mathematics 276, the former Engineering Science 230y, 235a/b, 236a/b.
3 lecture hours, 1 tutorial hour, half course.
