Chemistry 254 Chemical Thermodynamics

An introduction to thermodynamics, including applications to phase equilibria, chemical equilibria, solutions and surfaces.

Antirequisites: Chemistry 224a, 234b, the former 304.
Prerequisites: Chemistry 020, 023, 024a/b, and either Mathematics 030, with a minimum mark of 80%, or Calculus 050a/b plus one of 051a/b or 081a/b or Linear Algebra 040a/b, or Applied Mathematics 026, or the former Applied Mathematics 020, or 023a/b plus 024a/b, or the former Mathematics 027, or equivalent.
3 lecture hours, 1 tutorial hour.
