Sociology 133a/b Public Opinion

The formation of public opinion in mass society, including government, religious institutions, and the educational system. The consequences of "polling", "lobbying", "public relations", and "propaganda" are among topics discussed.

Antirequisites: The former Sociology 133F/G, 241a/b, 248a/b, 243 and 168E.
