Course Description

Physics 025 Introductory Physics

On completion, students in this course will have covered the same material as those registered in Physics 024. This course is restricted to those who have not passed OAC Physics within the last three years.

Antirequisites: Physics 020, 021, 022, 024, 026, 141a/b or successful completion of OAC Physics within the last three years.
Prerequisites: Either (i) OAC Algebra and Geometry or Mathematics 017a/b; OAC Calculus or Mathematics 012a/b; or (ii) Mathematics 030.
3 lecture hours, 3 laboratory/tutorial hours.
Note: The department recommends that students also take a concurrent course which includes calculus. Please be aware that some of the programs for which Physics 025 is a prerequisite also require Calculus 050a/b plus 051a/b, or Applied Mathematics 026, or the former Applied Mathematics 020, or 023a/b plus 024a/b, or the former Mathematics 027. This course is a suitable prerequisite for most programs in the Faculty of Science, and for Professional Schools having a Physics requirement.
