Course Description

Pharmacology and Toxicology 206a/b Pharmacology for Health Sciences

A course designed for students in the BSc in Nursing, Health Information Management, and other Health Sciences programs to provide a basic understanding of the fundamentals of drug action and the mechanisms of action and therapeutic use of the important classes of drugs.

Antirequisite: the former Biology 362
Prerequisite: registration in the BSc in Nursing or the Health Information Management program in the Faculty of Health Sciences or with special permission from the Department for students in the BMSc and BSc programs.
Note: May not be used, except as an option, in the BSc Biology or BMSc programs.
3 lecture hours, 1 tutorial hour (optional), half-course.
