Biology 205a Plant Structure and Development

(Given by the Department of Plant Sciences.) An exploration of the factors involved in the morphogenesis and cell differentiation of higher plants. Embryology, meristems, organ initiation and growth, plant anatomy and tissue differentiation, flower organ formation, gametophyte production, gametes, plant growth regulators and their roles in these processes.

Prerequisite: Biology 022 or 023.
2 lecture hours, 3 laboratory hours, half course.
