Students must achieve at least 60% in Film Studies 020E and must consult with the Department prior to admission.

Program

After Film Studies 020E, students must complete the equivalent of five full senior courses in Film Studies, including Film Studies 270F/G, 271F/G and 251E and one of Film Studies 158F/G or 258F/G.

No more than one of Film Studies 153E or 154E can be counted towards the Area of Concentration in Film Studies.

Notes

1. Students registered in the program prior to September 1986 may graduate under the regulations in force at the time of registration: English 020E, 022E, 024E or the former 026. Five senior courses including four senior Film Studies courses. The fifth course must be from an area of related interest approved by the Department of English.
2. Students registered in the program after September 1986 but prior to September 1991 may graduate under the regulations in force at the time of registration: English 020E or 022E or 024E or Film Studies 020E. At least one, but not more than two courses from Film Studies 153E, 154E, Film Studies 270F/G (or the former 170F/G). Additional Film Studies courses as required for a total of five.
3. Students registered in the program after September 1991 but prior to September 1994 may graduate under the regulations in force at the time of registration: Film Studies 020E. The equivalent of five full senior courses in Film Studies, including Film Studies 270F/G. Successful completion of any full English course or Writing 101F/G is also required. No more than one of Film Studies 153E or 154E can be counted.
4. Students registered in the program after September 1994 but prior to September 2000 may graduate under the regulations in force at the time of registration: Film Studies 020E, and the equivalent of five full senior courses in Film Studies, including Film Studies 270F/G,271F/G and 251E. No more than one of Film Studies 153E or 154E can be counted.
