PhD IN PHILOSOPHY (with specialization in Legal Philosophy)

This program enables PhD students at Western to specialize in the philosophy of law by including a legal component in their program of study. Such students will be provided with a solid foundation in the law that will enable them to pursue academic careers in research and teaching in philosophy of law, ethics and public policy, and related areas. The students in this program will take the first year of the LLB program within their PhD (Philosophy) course work. This area of specialization is open to no more than five students in any given year. Information and applications for admission to this program may be obtained from the Graduate Chair of the Department of Philosophy.
