The Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BScN) is a 4-year program that qualifies graduates to apply for registration as a professional nurse with The College of Nurses of Ontario. The program is offered collaboratively by the University of Western Ontario and Fanshawe College of Applied Arts and Technology. There are two streams in the program: The Western Stream: Students complete all courses at the University of Western Ontario. The Fanshawe College Stream: Students complete the first 2 years and the final term of 4th year at Fanshawe College. Third year and the first term of 4th year are taken at Western. Program requirements are the same in both streams.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BScN) is a program for nurses registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
This professional program in the School of Nursing can be completed in 4-5 academic semesters of full-time study.
The purpose of the Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Certificate Program is to prepare nurses with advanced practice skills who will provide comprehensive health services (health promotion, prevention of disease and injury, rehabilitation and support services, and treatment of a range of common health problems within the scope of nursing practice and in collaboration with other health professionals). Graduates of the program will be qualified for extended class registration by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
NOTE: Clinical placements are an important component of all programs and may be scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. Placements are arranged in London and other communities. Students are responsible for transportation to placements.
